Program/Project Management Advisor

Job Description

Principal Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:


-  Manages Localization projects, typically from initiation through delivery.

-  Coordinates cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity, which bring distinct, specific projects to completion on time and within budget.

-  Allocates work among team members and provides guidance on a regular basis.

-  Conducts periodic reviews to ensure project is on track and conducts post-project reviews.

-  Ensures all project documentation is kept up to date and communicated to the relevant stakeholders on a timely basis.

-  Utilizes relevant project management tools, systems, and applications.

-  Defines supporting and/or driving process improvements.

-  Expanding knowledge of related disciplinary areas

-  Broad knowledge within own specialty discipline (Localization/Globalization)

-  Deep specialized knowledge in specific aspects of discipline

-  Enhances own knowledge through understanding business trends and objectives.

-  Understands and foresees implications of decisions.

-  Knowledge of industry and business principles (Localization/Globalization)

-  Develops and applies project management techniques.

-  Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations/ problems using multiple sources of information:

o Qualitative information

o uantitative research

oTrend data

-  Presents problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner.

-  Forecasts, models, and utilizes advanced analytical tools.

-  Creates new procedures and processes to drive desired results.

-  Handles diverse range of issues that require evaluation of a variety of factors including current business trends.

-  Develops skills to analyze ambiguous problems.

-  Identifies opportunities for process and procedure enhancements to drive efficiency and customer service levels.

-  Manages multiple assignments and processes.

-  Demonstrates organizational skills and attention to details.

-  Demonstrates advanced MS Office skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Power Point, and SharePoint.

-  Able to work with technology and grasp new concepts quickly.

-  Experience in Machine Translation Solutions desired

-  Experience in Agile methodology a plus

-  Experience with Translation Management Systems desired – SDL TMS, Worldserver, Sajan, Wordbee, and others.

-  Experience with defect management tools desired – Bugzilla, PQM, TFS, JIRA, ClearQuest, etc.


-  PMP certification a plus.

-  Consulting experience a plus.

-  8-10 years of relevant experience in Localization or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
