Job Description

Chemical Technologies is a licensing company of patented process technology, used in the manufacturing of various chemical products, including methanol, substitute natural gas (SNG) and OXO alcohols. It has been licensing technology in China for almost thirty years but has only recently opened a permanent office in Beijing, aimed at further growing in China and providing even better service to its Chinese clients.

Chemical Technologies has a vacancy for a sales function in our Beijing office with the job title of Sales Engineer. The successful applicant will report directly to the *** Business Development Director, China.

The duties of this Beijing role will include:-
Support ***’s business managers from UK in communication, meeting, visits with Chinese clients.
Developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirement.
Support *** bidding proposals preparation/translation.
Support negotiation of contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.
Collect and analysis market information.

The successful applicant will:-
Be a university graduate holding engineering qualification, Chemical/Process Engineering preferred.
Have 3+ years’ experience working in the petrochemical industry in a commercial position.
Fluent in both verbal and written technical English.
A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills 
Honest and trustworthy
Demonstrate an ability to work independently and within a small team of multi-disciplined engineers.
Have the desire to gain an understanding of the process technologies supplied by and will want to continuously improve the standard of the service and advice offered***.
Willing to travel throughout China and represent *** alone or as part of an sales & marketing team for short periods.

The successful applicant has the opportunity to be promoted to Sales Manager.
