Technical Sales Manager Coatings

 

Location: Netherlands & Belgium

 

A multinational speciality chemicals distributor is currently seeking a Technical Sales Manager with relevant experience in the world of chemical specialities and a commercial drive required to be successful in a B2B environment.

 

Job Purpose

As Technical Sales Manager, you will deliver high levels of customer service; support and promote all technical specialties towards your customers' R&D centers. As full part of the sales process, you will increase profitability and performance in your region.

 

Responsibilities

 Efficiently promote a full product range to the ink, coatings, adhesives and polyurethane markets (resins and crosslinkers, additives, pigments and specialty fillers etc),

 In close cooperation with the product managers and our principals, ensure technical support and initiate specific technical partnerships with your customers,

 Take responsibility for new business development via prospecting, qualifying, and eventually selling,

 Develop strategies for expansion of market share/growth of our strategic Principals.

 

Profile

 Bachelor or Master in Chemistry or similar

 Background in chemicals is a must, experience in coatings and distribution is an advantage

 3-7 years of experience

 Multilingual in English & Dutch, French is desirable

 A strong commercial drive and passion about achieving goals/targets

 Ability to manage a portfolio of multiple projects

 Ability to create a good customer intimacy

 Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements

 Strong relationship building and negotiation skills

 Willingness to learn; prepared to gain a lot of product application knowledge in a short period of time

 Flexibility to travel: the position requires extensive travel in Belgium and the Netherlands, with regular short trips abroad

 Excellent computer skills.
