Brief Description

 
 

Serving as a subject matter expert throughout the engagement life cycle (i.e., qualified service opportunities through service delivery); the Field Engineer is responsible for providing in-depth consultative support to the Business, Partners and End Users concerning Professional Services offerings and capabilities.  Key indicators of success include revenue target achievement, high levels of client satisfaction, quality of technical support and channel partner engagement.

Detailed Description

 
 
  • Deliver and perform Global Professional Services on-site activities such as pre-engagement site visits, customer discovery meetings, health checks, on-site assessments, deliverable review, findings presentations, and other field activities as required.
  • Create and fully leverage opportunities to expand Professional Services’ offering knowledge and understanding. 
  • Provide services delivery training and field technical support to channel partners as required.
  • Support the account management team by engaging End Users and Channel Partners to help promote Professional Services. Assist with account calls, attend customer visits, present Global Professional Services offerings and capabilities, and provide Professional Services technical support for customer visits.

Job Requirements

 
 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, IT or related technical field is required

BICSI RCDD certification required 

Acts independently to determine methods and assists in the development/ formalization of processes affecting subordinate work group Relevant experience in field service engineering, applications engineering, systems engineering or similar with leadership responsibilities and proven capabilities

Ability to read and understand blueprints, floor plans, elevations, and other technical and design related drawings

Knowledge of data center and telecommunications infrastructure

Familiarity with data center, commercial building, and industrial physical infrastructure standards from TIA, EIA, IEEE, ASHRAE, IEC, and NEC

Operational knowledge of electrical measurement and cable testing tools including Multimeters, TDR’s, OTDR’s, and Cable Analyzers
