Job Description

Project manager for Information Systems implementation  (Microsoft Navision)

Location:

Focsani – minimum 4 days/week approx 1 year, during implementation 

Bucharest – after implementation, full rollout

 

Job purpose

Designs, coordinates, monitors and ensures successful implementation of information systems (having an ERP as core and specific software programs to be integrated) in order to optimize and streamline company’s activities. Ensures information systems projects are completed on time, on budget, according to required quality standards and specifications and are properly documented. Manages information systems and maintains the relationship with consultants/suppliers.

 

Main functions and responsibilities

• Detailed assessment of business needs translated into business processes (AsIs - ToBe and Gap analysis);

• Participate and supervise the design phase and architecture of integrated information systems;

• Assist in Request for Proposal preparation, evaluate and select the best offer and assist in contract negotiations;

• Suggest best implementation solutions for the hardware and software infrastructure;

• Responsible for implementing the integrated information system based on requirements definition agreed with steering committee;

• Monitor projects development compared to timeline agreed, with focus on quality of services delivered by consultants/suppliers, meeting deadlines/milestones and staying on budget;

• Identify, report and manage the risks associated with the implementation project;

• Maintain the relationships with external consultants and suppliers and test their solutions, based on users’ requirements;

• Identify technical problems and responsible for analyzing and solving them;

• Ensure, by cooperation with the Change Management function, the support and training for users and other stakeholders for optimal use of the IS;

• Prepare reports, usage instructions and other materials for users, or as requested from Steering committee or sponsor;

• Monitor, maintain, develop continuously and ensure optimal functioning of IS;

 

Requirements

• Proven experience with similar systems implementation for production units; implementations within agriculture industry or production is a plus;

• Recognized practical proven ability to manage integrated IS implementation projects;

• Knowledge and previous experience with Microsoft Business Solution represents an advantage;

• University degree with technical and/or business profile;

• Advanced English skills – both spoken and written;

• High level of initiative, excellent communication skills;

• Attention to details and very strong organizational skills;

• High prioritizing skills and ability to work with tight deadlines;
