Specification

Duties will include, but not limited to:

Management of a Business Support team including:

  • Recruitment, appraisals and other related management functions.
  • Guiding the team on how to use Agile practices and get the most out of self-organisation
  • 1 on 1 coaching and pairing.
  • Understand impediments and plan on how to remove them.
  • Collecting and updating metrics.
  • Performance management.
  • Understand training needs.
  • Plan in-house training sessions.
  • Facilitate Sharing Exchange events between Stakeholders/Tech teams/PO’s.

Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort:

  • Provide the team with a vision of the project objectives.
  •  Motivate and inspire team members.
  • Framework custodian.
  • Provide end user support, monitor the system, respond to queries, resolve and escalate issues.
  • Provide assistance in developing training material and provide regular information regarding systems.
  • Coordinate with product owners to understand future user requirements based on type of user first level queries coming in.
  • Assist in defining specifications for enhancements in performance of existing business systems with reference to first level business support responsibilities.
  • Provide support in analyzing the system so that it meets customer requirements.
  • Understand business processes and advise product owner teams on alignment of software solutions with business.
  • Provide assistance to product owners in defining and implementing changes.
  • Perform system testing for enhancements implemented in system.

Job Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree required, a computer related discipline preferred. (Experience may take the place
  • of a degree).
  • Previous management experience in managing business support teams.
  • Understanding the basics of SCRUM and Agile Methodologies.
  • Resilient and adaptable.
  • Excel: Proven Advanced user skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
