Senior Application Support Specialist

Job Description

Must have a Development background in C# and Delphi

  • Respond to requests for IT assistance in person, via phone, electronically
  • Diagnose and resolve technical software issues
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Advise user on appropriate action
  • Follow standard help desk procedures
  • Log all help desk interactions
  • Resolve and redirect problems to correct resource
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
  • Prepare activity reports
  • Inform management of recurring problems
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing request to ensure service quality
  • Ensure trained and skilled in all the business systems deployed in the business
  • Ensure quality testing of bug fixes before code is released back into production
  • Relevant qualification (Programming)
  • C# asp.net, Delphi and C++
  • SQL Server 2008 and above
  • IIS and html
  • Windows Server 2008/2012 and Windows 7/8.1
  • At least 3 years relevant experience developing financial systems would be advantageous
