China Retail IT Manager
The Role
- End to end accountability for all aspects of IT/IM to the business, including escalation point for operational and delivery issues
- Develop and maintain IT business plans that reflect the demand and strategic requirements of the business
- Partner with the business in strategic discussions and bring the view of technology implications and benefits
- Understand business strategy, business processes & information needs to exploit IT and enable the business to deliver against their plans
- Work across the IT and TaCIT organisations to deliver value to the business through robust IT services and innovation
- Work extensively with other IT colleagues to establish best practices in IT demand, operations support and project delivery for China Retail
- Build resource capability and grow the organisation to ensure proper delivery of Retail business requirements
- Ensure flawless delivery of Retail IT projects
- Provision of Application and IM Support to service levels agreed with the Business/JVs, managing all internal and 3rd party relationships to ensure end to end delivery of service
- Ensure the stability, integrity and performance of IT operational environments and the realisation of identified improvement opportunities and requirements
• Ensure China Retail IT compliance to all IRM, regulatory and other applicable standards and requirements
The Person
- Bachelor's degree in Sciences with at least 12 plus years extensive IT Management experience with a strong background in service management, emphasis on planning and management of IT, applications development, operations support and project delivery - Experience in managing and/or steering of large scale projects/programmes - Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills to drive results - Ability to lead, coach and develop the talent pipeline - Ability to build credibility and relationships with staff and senior business leaders - Strong business orientation and ability to work in a highly complex and matrix environment i.e. joint ventures - Demonstrates strong communication and engagement skills with senior management with excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels - Good grasp of financial management and controls. History of success in cost management and delivery with a track record of delivery on commitments - Ability to conceptualise, help launch and deliver a program of multiple IT projects on time, within budget and to specification. Consistently deliver on commitments. - Fluency in Mandarin (both oral and written) is required - Proficient in English (Business English as a minimum requirement)
