Our client is a successful large German company with more than 13,000 employees world-wide. Since 80 years the company has been making sense of large amounts of data from a wide variety of data sources with the aim to gain intelligent information for their clients (Big Data). Now, they are building a new unit, called Data-Driven-Analytics (DDA). The aim of this important global initiative is to bring together the best Data Scientists, Consultants and Developers with an incredible data landscape in order to generate new premium analytics services for the market. Head of Business Development & Consultancy (m/w) –

Marketing Analytics

Your responsibilities:

  • You will set up and head a new team in Analytics Business Development & Consulting. The is a client facing organisation that offers analytics & data consultancy, custom analytics solutions and automated cloud-based analytics products in the field of Marketing Analytics 
  • Setting up, developing, and leading a global team of analytics consultants and business development experts
  • Developing a sales strategy-, and plan as well as steering sales management
  • Client relationship strategy and management
  • Implementing a collaboration process between our analytics consultants, product management and our central Data Science team
  • Hands-on business development and consultancy
  • Development of an consulting toolbox (methodologies, processes, data canvas, …)
  • Driving analytics consultancy thought leadership, incl. conference and c-level presentations,
  • Ensuring alignment of business/client/market requirements
  • Driving successful, analytics solutions and consultancy, by:
    •  detailed knowledge of the analytics solutions/consulting ecosystem  and client needs as well as constantly optimizing the offering and methodology
    • leading an concrete practice area
    • positioning DDA based on its value proposition and USPs
    • development of a compelling offering leveraging existing data assets
    • hands-on project work and being a role model
    • actively contributing to strategic marketing

Your Profile:

  • Master's degree with strong focus on business administration or related areas
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience required
  • Experience in digital / analytics consultancy or analytics intelligence with an industry focus
  • Experience in leading analytics related consultant & business development teams
  • Exceptional sales and business development experience in analytics solutions and preferable data strategies
  • Experience in marketing related use cases, e.g. Customer Journey Analyses, ROI Analytics, Customer Life Time Value, Product Management, Price & Promotion, Sales Channel Optimization, Online Marketing, Marketing Mix Modelling, Attribution
  • Experience in developing analytics concepts with the client and internal subject matter experts
  • Strong business understanding
  • Ability tot hink strategically in addressing real-world problems analytically
  • Networking and being an emphatic leader
  • Very good understanding of Big Data and analytics landscape
  • Project management skills
  • Industry experience should preferably include Technology, Consumer Electronics or FMCG
  • Excellent communication, presentation and client facing-skills
  • English absolutely fluent, German language skills an added advantage, but no Must
