a) To distribute the full range of products in the most efficient way to selected distributors.
b) To manage sales administration and respect company’s payment policy.
c) To organize efficient redistribution and guarantee that all products are available, visible at all times in all shops and table tops in his area.
d) To organize POS material so that it is visible and available at all retail outlets in his area.
e) Prospects for new customers and maintains existing customers for the company’s range of products.
f) Assists distributors to redistribute (thin and wide) company’s range of products.
g) Organizes appraisals of redistributors working in his area.
h) Assists in general sales promotion programs of the company.
i) Carries out sales and marketing activities including occasional price surveys, reports on competitor’s activities.
j) Maintains a proper sales administration by respecting all sales procedures.
k) Ensures distributors maintain company’s whole range of products.
l) Provides updates of monthly sales forecast in the area of coverage.
m) Takes responsibility for all cash/cheese receipt for sales made in the field.
n) Takes responsibility for all stock in his/her care.
o) Ensures the safety, proper handling of all company’s products in his care.
p) Addresses customer’s complaints in the field and ensures complaints are brought to the attention of the field sales coordinator.
Undertakes any other assignments and duties that may be assigned by the Field sales coordinator or Management.
3. INTERNAL RELATIONS
Reports to the Field sales coordinator.
Liaises with warehouse manager and sales accounting.
Maintains a working relationship with Finance & administration department particularly – the cashier and Finance/stocks assistant.
4. EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Maintains a working relationship with distributors and retailers.
5. AUTHORITY LIMITS
Supervises and checks on the activities of driver assigned for sales activities.
Supervises the work of Sales agents/marketing assistants.
6. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A BSc/BA in Social Science or Humanities, Marketing with at least two (2) years working experience in an industrial/manufacturing, sales & marketing, merchandising environment. OR an HND in Social Science of Humanities, Marketing with at least two (2) years working experience in an industrial/manufacturing, sales & marketing, merchandising environment.
7. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Very confident, assertive, diplomatic and persuasive.
Computer knowledge – Microsoft excel, Microsoft word, database software, etc is an advantage.
Strong personality able to implement company’s sales and payment policies.
Very good interpersonal skills.
Valid driving license.
