Regional Learning & development manager of Asia

Job Description

Responsible for developing and implementing effective training standards and learning initiatives across the region, to develop competent employees.

 

Support the organization in their implementation of existing training concepts and optimizing these according to needs. Structure the support of effective learning and promote continuous competency development.

 

Design and implement new learning concepts, tools and initiatives which are aligned with Group HR and the business needs and ensure that they are solidly anchored in the organization.

 

Business need: Ensuring that employees in the region have the right competencies and that their competencies are effectively utilized in the organization.

 

Based in Hong Kong

 

Key Accountabilities:

Serve as the senior L&D specialist in the region

Utilize the offers from RWU to the highest extent to the benefit of the region, when relevant

Responsible for end-to-end delivery of L&D programs for the region including working with providers, scheduling training, communicating with HR Partners, managers and program participants, and managing program logistics

Develop and maintains Training Catalog - research and select preferred providers for soft-skills training delivery and manage relationship

Work with SME on designing training content and delivery, including online training

Facilitate/coordinate/deliver new hire onboarding

Identify learning needs from review of Performance Development Program (PDP) and input from HR BP from SM (Talent and succession list) and local HR Partner

Arranges in-house courses/coordinates arrangement of external courses and seminars to address the needs

Supports Global Process Owner L&D in the development and delivery of in house programs, including RWU activities

Manage the contracting and optimal use of external training providers.

Training plan (yearly estimate)

Consolidating L&D budget based on OPCO analysis

Update LMS with regional specific offering

Manages training back office tasks together with HR Admin

 

Organizational Parameters:

Part of the Group L&D network

Reports to Regional team leader, in case of secondary role: Accountable to Regional HR Team Lead

Member of Regional HR team

 

Key Skills & Requirements:

Proven ambition as L&D expert (not HR generalist) and advisor

Track record in coaching and talent development, using latest tools & methodologies

Experienced user of global Learning Management System

Skilled in Workday & MS Office

Fluent in English and Mandarin
