· To establish the mid to long term strategic road map for Transport operations, in line with the Business strategy.
· To initiate PDCA and problem solving on bottleneck processes to improve efficiency, customer and reduce operation costs.
· To work in close co-ordination with the Technology, Engineering and Process Excellence teams, to continuously improve the "Transport" systems and processes.
· Lead and drive the rapid scale up of the Transport footprint.
· To develop alternate back up plans that enhance flexibility in operations and help quickly respond to the changed demand sceanario.
· To lead and drive the initiatives for development of transportation vendor eco system.
· To build the organization capability in line with the scale of operations.
· To maximize the workforce capability and employee engagement levels of the Transport teams.
· To drive a high performance oriented culture with emphasis on Customer focus and Bias for action
Education and Experience:-
· Post Graduate from a reputed institute.
· Should have a deep understanding on the criticalities related to Transport Operations.
· Should have experience in managing scale and Operation complexity.
· Should have knowledge and experience in lean practices.
· Should have excellent people management skills.
