Financial Controller and as necessary CFO, CEO, Director and Principal & his  family

Purpose of the job

To be a member of the European finance team servicing the needs of the family office, through processing and accounting of financial transactions.

The Financial Controller will designate specific areas of responsibility within the financial transaction processing and management accounts preparation.

Location

Mayfair, London with potential occasional travel to head office in Luxembourg

Summary Job Description

Responsibilities and tasks:

Financial Transaction Processing and Accounting

To process and book the financial transactions in accordance with the approved company processes and procedures. These transactions to include supplier invoices, bank account transactions, staff expense reports, and intercompany transactions.

Perform accuracy and supporting material checks on transaction data. 

Financial Reporting

To provide support to the Financial Controller in the preparation of schedules for the monthly reporting pack.

Administration

Work with the Financial Controller to maintain accurate, update to date files of transactions processed, ensuring that all operations performed on base data are properly reflected.

Project

Work with the Financial Controller and/or CFO, CEO, Director and Principal and his family to complete special projects and assignments such as system development and upgrades, improved work flow processes, preparation of detailed financial analyses required for any of the family investments/assets.

Personal and Professional Development

Within the management team constraints, continue to develop professionally. Maintain a watching brief on best practice. Supplement professional training as required. Formulate and agree training plan with the Financial Controller.

 

 

Detailed Job Description

Responsibilities and tasks:

Financial Transaction Processing, Accounting & Reconciliation

Book of all transactions for the attributed companies (located in various countries)

Preparation of monthly close of books

Preparation and submission of payment instructions (manual & electronic) following regular payment runs or adhoc requests

Weekly bank balance updates

Monthly bank balance updates

Monthly bank reconciliations (including credit cards)

 

Reporting

Monthly/annual expense report information 

Monthly actual vs. budget reporting to support funding requests

Administration

Maintenance of a clear organised filing system, both physically & electronically for transactional based documents, banking documents & other reference documents.

 

Project

Work under the direction of the Financial Controller and CFO, CEO, Director and Principal and his family to complete special projects and assignments such as system development and upgrades, improved work flow processes, preparation of detailed financial analyses required for any of the family investments/assets.

Languages Skills

English and Russian mandatory. Hebrew would be an asset

Family Office Interaction

Regular participation in family office meetings and assistance to other family office team members as required
