Job description

Leading Catalyst Department, monitoring and guiding the team. 

Development of new catalyst technologies for Refineries, Petrochemical and other applications. 

Providing new concepts, ideas, processes and translating them through experimentation, scale up to a profitable commercial product. 

Plans, performs, interprets and presents conclusions from research work related to assigned projects, both in the field and laboratory in conjunction with Project/Process Leader. 

Setting up of facilities in the organization to spearhead quality management initiatives. 

Performing basic engineering activities like designing layouts, preparing diagrams, charts and technical specifications for various chemical processes & equipment’s. 

Planning and organizing day-to-day on-site research activities and resolving procedural and logistical problems as appropriate to the timely completion of research objectives. 

Developing research process parameters and testing techniques to improve the quality standards and reduce the rate of rejection and re-work. 

Offer of technical data and performance of catalysts for tendering by Licensee. 

Establishes effective working relationships with personnel in Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and other research groups in support of research efforts. Keeps Project / Process Leader aware of pertinent communications and developments. 

Offering technical support to the sales work force.  Develops in-depth knowledge assigned areas of technology, keeping aware of current scientific trends and developments. 

Personal Skills Development, including productivity, technical competency, independence, attitude, teamwork and communication skills (both oral and written). 

Safety and Responsible Care, ensuring a safe working environment and operating consistently with Responsible Care guidelines. 

Quality Process, demonstrating a commitment to “doing it right the first time”. Working in Collaboration with other global teams.

No. of Reportees 7-10 Educational Qualification Ph. D. (Material Science / Nano biotechnology). Candidate with nano background and work experience in catalyst is ideal. Prior Work Experience in years 10-25 years

Preferred Age 35-50 years 

Essential previous responsibilities handled The candidate should be innovative and must have patents registered under his/her name. Candidates with maximum number of patents filed under his or her name is preferred.

Soft Skills required MS-Office, Excel, Power point presentation preparation, generation of scientific reports Reporting to Director
