Head of Disbursement Process

Job Description

 

This person will serve as our lead of the auto loans disbursal process and report to the head of auto loans. They will join a very fast-paced start-up environment in one of the most important and upcoming vertical.
He/ She would have the critical responsibility of ensuring that our customers find the loan they are looking for within a pre-defined TAT and that the customer experience provided by our end to end process meet the brand standards - both online and offline. In this mission, this person would be responsible for prioritizing and supervising all key disbursement-related initiatives of the platform and to design the strategy that ensures consistency between our brand and the experience that we provide.
We essentially hand hold the customer from consideration to online form filling / call assisted form filling to document collection / upload, quicker underwriting and finally connect to the vehicle through a network of dealer tie ups. The CORE responsibilities will include:
1. P&L:
a. Throughput: Number of customers getting touched on daily basis
b. Conversions: Conversion of customers at each stage – completed applications, documents submitted to bank, approved cases and disbursals
c. Unit economics: What are we spending per disbursal vs our income
d. Overall P&L: EBIDTA/margin specific to this line of business
2. Planning:
a. Model: How to make this process more customer friendly and how to break the traditional dealer/DSA channel for loan disbursal, which banks to partner with, what leads to share with which channel etc
b. Product and Tech: What should be our online flow for customers, how should our
lead management system (LMS) work, other automations required to optimize the process
c. People/resources: Org structure, how many people needed at what stage, decisions like whether we need our own sales force
d. Targets: How much can be achieved by month end, quarter end, year end, next fiscal
e. Client interactions: Planning a series of interactions with necessary stakeholders externally to ensure engagement and business continuity in optimal manner
3. Expansion:
a. Expanding new car: Pan India operations
b. 2W loans
c. CV loans
d. DSA & / or Sub DSA aggregation
e. Other Loans (Horizontal Expansion)
 

Ideal profiles
1. Working in auto loan front end sales in a bank:
a. Someone at an ASM position or higher
b. Experience of atleast 7 years in hardcore sales
2. Working in auto loans back end process sales in a bank
a. Someone who is leading call center operations for a bank/NBFC at regional or national level
b. Experience of atleast 5 years of leading the call center operations
3. Working at a leading financial and / or insurance aggregator
4. Heading the auto finance vertical of a large pan India DSA / Dealer group
5. Entrepreneurs / entrepreneurial backgrounds with demonstration of intense drive, consistency and dedication towards building out a business.
6. Data driven, analytical, strong problem solving skills. Ability to work in a high pressure & deadline driven environment with strong focus on execution
