Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION: (A brief statement indicating why the job exists. Clearly identify the mission or purpose of the job in the organization).
The purpose of this role is to manage the sales of commodity chemical products to customers and to distributors within the territory with the principle aims of meeting the budgeted volume targets, maximizing the value of these sales, and effectively managing the key customer interfaces in support of the business strategy.
Manage territory in which individual operates by:
Compliant with safety standards and company policies in the course of conducting business activities assigned to the individual 
Working closely with business management in developing & executing region specific strategies, plans and performance measurement per product line
Working closely with business management to actively manage customer margin performance and optimising the China customer portfolio for products assigned in order to maximise profitability.
Managing and driving volume/price performance versus planned objectives and implementing corrective actions when necessary
Managing customer interface at national and multinational accounts at all levels. Negotiating term contracts and coordinating all commercial and development activities.
Managing and driving distributors’ activities in the region, including sales plan development and performance management
Supporting market development activities by identifying new customer/market opportunities and initiating sales where required.
Monitoring and reporting market information and trends in relevant industries and informing all stakeholders such as marketing managers, senior management, business development
Supporting and guiding all sales related business functions such as logistics, customer service, technical support, credit, market development, marketing communications, I.S. etc.
Manage and motivate direct reports assigned by senior management to achieve both business result and administrative requirements related with the territorial and job assignment. 
University level degree, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Science or Business Administration
Work Experience: 
A minimum of 5 -8 years of commercial experience, preferably in sales, within the chemical industry in China; management experience of direct sales force preferred.

Good presentation and well developed negotiating skills to handle all level audience
Advanced working knowledge of common office software like Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint to facilitate communication and analysis work
Language Skills ~ fluent English and local Indian language competency required
