Job Title:Sr. Sales Manager/Sales Manager – Specialty Channels
Reports To:VP / MD – China & Hong Kong
The role is to focus on business development and new customer acquisition through proactive communication and networking within consumer product, outdoor product, and kitchen appliance sector to achieve sales and profit target set by the company. Primary responsibilities include the following:
-Develop market sales channel assessment and plan to penetrate specialty retail channels of greatest opportunity.
-Identify and appoint regional specialty retailers/dealers that meet the specified brand standards. Negotiate and conclude annual contract with customers with best possible terms, coordinate with internal teams from inception to completion.
-Develop strategies for retailers/dealers by different regions throughout China to drive category share increase and achieve the set target.
-Build collaborative sales and brand plans. Host quarterly and annual retailer customer reviews.
-To monitor and feedback on the development trends of all regional retail customers as well as competitor and market intelligence.
-To provide accurate and timely reporting and forecast to the global management team.
-Develop and execute plans to achieve financial KPI’s including revenue, profitability, collection (account receivables) targets in addition to key brand and marketing initiatives.
-Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure they are communicated and implemented within the team.
-Train, coach and mentor team in order to maximize performance and to ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations.
-Work closely with marketing, PR, and customer services department to drive consumer education and service initiatives including training sessions, demonstrations, events, etc.
-Work with cross function teams – marketing, training, manufacturing, finance & supply chain, and other functional departments to ensure customer requirements are handled efficiently and accurately.
-Minimum 8-10 years national- or regional-level sales management experience with MNC in China with proven track record of sales accomplishments in selling premium consumer products through channel partners is required;
-Previous channel sales experience with outdoor products or premium kitchen appliances brand is strongly preferred;
-Having an established senior-level network of contacts with outdoor specialty retailers or high-end kitchen appliances/kitchenware retailers/dealers is required;
-Hunter mentality and a thorough understanding of channel development and new customer acquisition;
-Highly result-oriented with strong skills in making cold calls, generating new leads and relationship development;
-Confident self-starter with a positive attitude, a team player, an innovative problem solver and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines, attentive to details, outstanding client-facing and presentation skills, takes a business sales consultant approach with channel partners;
-Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment and ambitious with the ability to work under pressure;
-A skilled negotiator with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
-English and Mandarin proficiency;
-Bachelor degree is required;
-Extensive domestic travel required.
