Job Description

Qualification:

Appropriate Bachelor’s Degree (Essential)
Master’s Degree/MBA (Preferably)

 

Skills & Experience:

At least 5 years' experience in an analytical role in finance, accounting, business management.
At least 4 years' M&A experience.
At least 4 years' experience performing business research such as analysing financial statements/proxies and utilizing research databases.
At least 4 years' experience in understanding and analysing financial modelling.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel.
At least 4 years' experience using financial metrics, ratios and calculations and public financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
At least 4 years' experience with project management (for example: planning, organising, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
Experience leading and working with cross-functional teams.
At least 1 year experience in directly managing people including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work OR at least 2 years' experience in indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other team members.

Sound understanding of the fundamental concepts and techniques and a broad spectrum of contemporary issues concerning mergers and acquisitions.
Have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and an aptitude for analytics.
Ability to carry out basic financial modelling, then developing and presenting results.
Contribute to competitive bid proposals and formal presentations; and
Ability to prepare due diligence reports using templates and executive summaries.

Job Description:

·      Analyse potential acquisition and investment candidates, perform complex financial modelling

and execute the negotiation of selected high risk transactions.

·      Engage with business intermediaries, sellers, internal business owners, key stakeholders and other support personnel.

·      Advises senior and local stakeholders on executing transactions.

·      Research industry participants and competitive landscape to develop actionable awareness of potential acquisition and investment candidates and serve as an advisor within one or more of the Company’s business lines.

·      Evaluate target companies for financial, operational and strategic fit and understand and evaluate the impact of the potential transaction on business strategy.

·      Execute all aspects of strategic acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and strategic investments from inception through due diligence, valuation, negotiation, closing and integration, and coordinate internal approval and communication processes for completion of a transaction.

·      Leads and facilitates measurement of acquisition and investment performance and transaction reporting.

·      Prepares final presentations on deal risk, returns and final recommendations to management for review and consideration.

·      Leads cross-functional teams consisting of members of various business leads, finance, legal, HR, IT, etc. in order to ensure timely completion of valuations, diligence and integration planning.

·      Manages a team of analysts that perform various aspects of the transaction. 

·      Reviews work of analyst and various internal Company team members assisting with due diligence work. 

·      Coaches, mentors, and trains staff.

·      Advises senior and local stakeholders on executing transactions.
