Purpose
To accurately prepare estimates for Tenders.
Minimum Qualification
 National Dip (Civil Eng / Building / Management / Quantity Surveying)
Essential Experience
 At least 7 years’ experience with traceable references, in the construction industry with emphasis on construction estimating, contracts (JBCC and FIDIC), financial and risk management

 Prepares work to be estimated by gathering documentation and specifications.
 Identifies labour, material, and time requirements by studying previous data and specifications.
 Computes costs by analysing labour, material, and time requirements.
 Adjudicates subcontractor prices
 Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
 Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
 Prepares special reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
 Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
 Maintains historic tender information
 Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.
 Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
 Risk evaluation of documents
 Contract review reports
