Job Description

Title:  Accounts Receivable Clerk
Area:  Blackheath, Cape Town
Salary:  R 156 000.00 – R 168 000.00

Brief Description:
One of our main clients who are a market leader in the manufacturing industry requires the service of an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join there dynamic team.

Qualification:
Grade 12

Experience, Skills and Competencies Requirements
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk /Creditor Controller in the FMCG, Logistics or Distribution sector.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent planning and organising ability and attention to detail.
Proactive, driven and passionate.
Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
South African citizens only.

Brief Key Performance Areas
Collect money from clients.
Keep track and process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data.
Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues.
Facilitate swift payment of invoices due to the organisation by sending bill reminders and contacting clients with outstanding accounts.
Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
