A giant in the manufacturing field an opportunity for a Project Accountant (AA) to join their team.

Qualification:
Accounting Degree (B.Com) or similar qualification.

Skills & Experience:

2 – 4 years relevant experience in preparation of budgets and forecasts in a manufacturing environment.
Project management experience would be advantageous.
SAP – specifically FI/CO.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to work under pressure when required.
Attention to detail.
Logical thinking ability.
Analytical ability.
Sound knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
Implementation of relevant accounting standards.
Talent & performance management.
Organisational understanding.
South African citizens only.

Job Description:
·       To assume responsibility for the compilation of divisional budgets & forecasts as required.
·       Prepare monthly product costings and transfer pricing calculations.
·       Subsidiary profitability analysis to ensure earnings is in line with expectations.
·       Analyse monthly sales volumes. Perform profit scenarios and variance analysis based on changes in economic factors.
·       Prepare 3-month rolling cash flow forecasts for submission to TH.
·       Various ad-hoc projects required from time to time.

Financial:
·       Uses resources efficiently and effectively.
·       Compile annual budgets, business plans and quarterly forecasts.
·       Review and evaluate the production plans and ensure that variable cost calculations for budget & forecasts reflect the current market dynamics.
·       Detailed reports explaining performance against budget & forecast: consolidated and per site. Where variances warrant further investigation and explanation.

Business Processes:
·       Prepare monthly product costings and transfer pricing calculations.
·       Analyse monthly volumes for local and export sales and calculates contribution variances.
·       Analyse production variances when required.
·       Analyse monthly performance and prepare detailed reports on major variances.
·       Ad-hoc projects assessing future financial viability or enhancements for the division.

Customers:
·       Demonstrates understanding of internal and external customer needs, expectations and delivers accordingly.
·       Assist operations to implement / improve internal controls as identified by the internal auditors.
·       Assist the internal and external auditors when required.
