Job Description

 Plans and develops marketing and sales strategies consistent with the overall goals and objectives of the business.
 Participates in development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, short-and long-range planning; develops and implements projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals.
 Prepares marketing programme evaluation reports.
 Maintains prospects list.
 Monitors competitors.
 Conducts, or assists in conducting portions of market research activities to identify potential clients.
 Regularly monitors performance to budget parameters.
 Ensures bid preparation is completed within the requirements of the Group and Company in terms of standardisation, accuracy of estimates and professional presentation of bids.
Customer Relationships Management
 Responsible for marketing the Company’s Technologies.
 Builds and maintains long term customer relationships.
 Builds the brand 
 Maintains client database.
Public Relations
 Ensures compliance with Group Public Relations requirements.
 Maintains co-ordinated public relations activities within the Company.
 Assumes responsibility for all publicity including, trade shows, brochures, publications and all the public relations material.
 Represents the enterprise at conferences, meetings, exhibits, and other special events; promotes new and existing technologies.
 Oversees the supervision of personnel in the Marketing Department, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
 May oversee the management and administration of specialized databases.
 Manages a department budget.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE The following qualifications and experience are necessary:
 A Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Degree (Preferably Chemical).
 A post graduate business degree would be an advantage.
 4 or more years in a Petrochemical Contracting Environment at management level.
 Marketing background preferable but not a prerequisite.
