Manages the contracts responsibilities and functions in project from inception through completion. Functional scope includes development of the project contracts strategy, administration of the prime contract, and change orders and claims. Ensure that company fulfils all obligations associate with the terms & conditions of the contracts.
·Typically assigned to high risk, fixed price contracts or projects of considerable technical and commercial complexity, organizationally reports to the Project Director and functionally to the Head of Contract Management Department.
·To assist and to advise the Project Manager/Project Director and the Project team in the interpretation and timely implementation of the Contract terms and conditions (Prime Contract) and assisting and supporting to Procurement and Construction in POs and Subcontracts pre and post award.
·Provide prime contract change orders and claims (including counter claims) management and support to project team preparing and negotiating change orders and/or claims as required.
|LOCATION: Madrid (Spain) during E+P phase and mobilization to Site during C phase, (international locations).
Minimum overall EXPERIENCE of 8 years and proven experience in a similar position, of at least 5 years and or 3 years as Prime Contract Manager and 5 years as Subcontracts Manager.
OTHER:Should be fluent in English and high level of Spanish
Broad knowledge of contracts management and claims. Extensive experience and knowledge of commercial management functions.
·Extensive knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls and Construction work processes.
·Degree in Engineering, Business or Cost Engineering desirable.
·Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills (English and desirably Spanish), analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and a focus on customer service. Demonstrate teamwork capabilities suitable for working effectively in a matrix organization with a diversity workforce.
·Enough capacity and hierarchy for requesting and demanding the required collaboration at the appropriate level of technical quality and schedule of the other participants in the Project, for the preparation of deliverables of his/her area. Proactivity.
·Previous experience managing Prime Contracts (at least 5 years) from the EPC Contractor for EPC project.
Minimum experience of 8 years.
