Job Description

My client an OEM is looking forward to recruit a Senior Solution Architect in Dubai/ engineer with a mix of Visual Collaboration and AV experience to assist the sales teams in achieving “technical close”  Key here is to have good presentation skills plus domain experience and work to gain knowledge in clients domain which is relatively new and is part of the convergence of IT & AV to deliver solutions which help in delivering a business outcome.

Solutions Engineer (Manager Pre-Sales) – Middle East

Client is defining a new way of work.  One where applications, content, video conferencing and the web can all be easily combined into a visual workspace where teams can create, edit, and share.  These interactive workspaces are stored in the cloud and available on any sized screen.   Client’s  Visual Workplace  solutions  span  from  conference  room  to  home  office, executive visit center to data lab, huddle room to custom walls – and every size workplace in between.

 

 

The Solutions Engineer - supports sales productivity and deal flow by sec uring the “technical close” in complex solutions. The Sales Solution Engineer collaborates with sales, service, engineering, and  technical support  resources  to ensure  proposed deals include  technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and ar e appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers. The Sales Solution Engineer is responsible for achieving a profit and productivity quota made up of the combined expectations of the sales resources, market, and/or channel supported

 

Responsibilities

 

   Assist sales  team  through preparation and  delivery of  technical presentations  and statements of work by matching specific client business requirements with effective technical solutions.

   Works  deals  assigned  to  the  sales  team  supported,  prioritizing  effort  based  on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit, or as directed by the VP of WW Enterprise Sales, or the VP of Global Strategic Partnership and International Sales.

   Proactively scopes the solution required to address customer requirement s, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.

   Coordinate closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customer business requ irements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and

the firm.

   Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm. Adapts solutions as necessary to ensure a ppropriate support.

     Coordinates closely with internal sales, sale support, and service resources to align

solution design with customers ’business requirements.

   Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.

   Assist sales  team  through preparation and  delivery of  technical presentations  and statements of work by matching specific client business requirements with effective

technical solutions.

   Educate prospects on product implem entation and usage and answers their technical and security questions.

     Participate in consultations and/or product capability assessments with prospects.

   Create  relationships  with  key  decision  makers  and  serve  as  external  technical spokesperson.

   Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of the live assistance/customer experience industry to stay aware of trends, issues and competition.

 

   Participates in proposal and presentation development; supports Sales with insights for competitive strategy.

     Develop and integrate customer-unique implementations

     Develop AV reference solutions for integration of product and 3rd -party adjuncts

     Troubleshoot product and product/3rd -party integrations

     Train AV engineering on Solutions roadmap, features and troubleshooting

   Develop  use  cases  and  analyze,  derive  and  document  associated  engineering specifications

   Maintain hardware netlists, interconnect diagrams and configuration control of product cabling

     Survey, Evaluate and qualify AV devices/peripherals

     Support the setup and operation of labs & demonstrations

     Manage & report on project implementation

 

 

Desired Skills

 

     BS in engineering or equivalent AV engineering work experience

     5+ years specifying/developing/supporting AV / IT/ Video Conferencing solutions

     Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.

     Passionate commitment to quality and success.

   Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

   Principle knowledge of websi te construction, including HTML, JavaScript and CSS, understanding of OS and browser distinctions and how third -party software and plugins

work with browsers (e.g. Flash), basic website troubleshooting and use of browser developer tools.

     Experience with Microsoft Windows OS administration and troubleshooting, including

Device Manager, Software installation, Network settings, Event logs, DXDiag and System Information analysis, Audio and video settings, CPU and memory analysis, and USB devices. Experience with Windows PC architecture, including installing Windows

and SUB devices, creating and installing image files, updating component drivers and

installingthird-party software.

   Understanding  of  Network  protocols  and  experience  diagnosing  connection -related issues.

     Understanding of and experience with client software/implementation testing.

     Experience with Windows Server and Domain/Active Directory administration.

     Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

     Ability to travel occasionally.
