We are working with one of the biuggest brands in teh Automotive industry and we have a requirement for a Production Development Engineer to join their highly skilled team based in the North West of England.

We are looking for someone who will form part of a highly focused technical team and will have the opportunity to be involved in and influence the longer term development of the business. 

The ideal candidate will need to develop projects to the highest possible standards in this challenging environment; you will need to be capable of breaking new ground when it comes to quality performance and design. This role will only suit an individual who thrives on responsibility and enjoys exercising their project management and technical skills. So if you have a degree in materials science, engineering or manufacturing, then this will prove an outstanding career move. If you can speak a second language, all the better.

The job will involve development of current and new tyre specifications for Original Equipment applications through to industrialisation of specifications for production.

Principal tasks and responsibilities include integrity of tyre specification and analysis of test performances. Responsibility for selected products with potential in the future to manage selected OE customer’s technical requirements. 

Applicants must be computer literate and have experience in documentation and record keeping.

This role will involve ownership of the product through the entier life cycle of the products existance from initial conception through homologation working directly with test drivers and engineers in some spectacular locations to ensure the product meets the OEM desires and specifications.

This would suit somebody interewsted in chassis dynamics and performance along with a passion for CI.

Good communication skills, a flexible attitude with the ability to respond to departmental challenges and a good ability to liaise with people both in the office environment and on the factory floor is essential.
