Role Mission

Build and maintain a strong and consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels. 

Position description :

The goal of the Health and wellness category manager function is to be on the leading edge for the retailer integrating consumer, shopper and analytic insights, processes and tools to drive vision and strategy for each category.

  • Develop and execute successful Brand Plans, execute annual marketing plan activities, including local media and digital media strategy/plans for the given brands within the categories
  • Be responsible and accountable for assigned brand P&Ls
  • Provide monthly updates to business review and monitor market performance
  • Identify trade needs/opportunities, develop pricing and distribution strategies in line with the brands' objectives and targets
  • Develop brand/channel/customer 4P strategy and action plans in line with respective sales and marketing counterpart and building on Strategic 4Ps
  • Execute product launches
  • Contribute to innovation by delivering product development programs to further margin growth
  • Continuous analysis of competitive and customer's position
  • Implement portfolio strategy in conjunction with Franchise team head
  • Partners with media/consumer and market insights to implement media strategy and plans
  • Lead category management activities including annual range/line review process, optimizing share of shelf, space requirements, and financial productivity and make appropriate planogram recommendations


Major key Accountabilities

  • Establish relationships with the customer to understand priorities and strategies to deliver winning approaches; be recognized as a strategic partner
  • Develop category growth initiatives to influence customer category strategies that drive sales and market share growth
  • Applying marketing research information as it relates to shopper and category strategy
  • Category analytics for the local team and retailer including consumption and shopper behavioral data to identify category trends, competitive activity from account programs that may have major, long-term impact on Brand and Corporate goals and strategies


  • Years of experience : 4:6 Marketing
  • Background and roles held

> Preferably same position in consumer health / FMCG / Trade Marketing

> Pharmacy Marketing

  • Experience in certain markets
