The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient execution of all shipments, optimizing costs while maintaining superior service levels.
The ideal candidate should possess an in-depth understanding of the shipping industry and maintain a robust network within the region, including connections with shipping lines and freight forwarders. Success in this role will be measured by the candidate's ability to negotiate freight rates for annual tenders and spot bookings without compromising service quality.
- 5-8 years of experience in shipping/freight forwarding industry
- Graduate needed, post-graduate with supply chain/logistics specialization would be advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of the shipping industry (carriers, freight forwarders, customs, etc.
- Strong negotiation skills
