Area Sales Manager (Arab Only)

Job Description

Area Sales Manager – FMCG Industry (Arab Only).

A leading FMCG company in the region with high profitability and huge market share is looking to hire “Area Sales Manager” in UAE.


Role: Area Sales Manager.

Reports to: National Sales Manager.


Main Purpose of Role:

Lead and represent the company in a pre-defined geography in U.A.E. The Area Sales Manager is fully responsible for achieving the sales targets in his area while maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers and society.


Key Accountabilities and Business Priorities:

  • Ensure implementation of the sales fundamentals: coverage, distribution, and visibility.
  • Approve the weekly plans prepared by his supervisors, thus ensuring reaching his area’s targets.
  • Lead the sales team in his area (supervisors, salesmen and merchandisers) to best achieve the area’s targets.
  • Lead his team’s development and training in a positive spirit driving at fair evaluation of individual performances.
  • Weekly visits to all his areas and markets.
  • Follow up on the cash collection with the regional accountant and supervisors.
  • Control and navigate the operating costs of the region (Route by Route, activity by activity).
  • Sign the rental and discount agreement with customers following company policy.
  • Safeguard the company’s assets and develop tracking tools for those (vans, fridges, buildings, cars).


Work Conditions:

-Field work 60% of the time.

- Coverage: routes’ and coverage efficiency.

- Visibility: Chillers’ efficiency, plan-o-grams’ maintenance, winning visibility stores.

- Volume: weekly plans’ efficiency and reaching the region’s net sales target, returns.

- People: Regretted turnover ratio, number of promoted persons, PDR.

- Finance: Number of DSO (days of sales outstanding), costs of operations for the region.

- Develop his successor.


Essential Knowledge/ Experience

- University graduate at least (BA in business administration, marketing or another related field).

- Minimum experience of 6 years in sales with a very strong track of records.

- People management experience.

- English and Arabic literate.

- Valid UAE Driving license.
