Job Description

The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for creating sales opportunities for client’s products across European market.  This will require daily exchange with the company’s customer base to increase product awareness, as well as build rapport with the distributors’ sales teams and/or other external sources.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate market/corporate goals
  • Provides sales forecasting and sets performance goals accordingly, and supports and motivates sales staff in achieving their goals
  • Manages staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop, and continuously improve organizational capabilities of sales staff, and control sales program
  • Advises distributors and clients concerning sales opportunities
  • Assigns sales territory to sales representatives
  • Analyzes sales and market data, trends, and customer needs to formulate sales plan and assist distributors in promoting sales
  • Makes recommendations to company leadership on product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line
  • Initiates, develops and implements sales-oriented customer events, activities, and campaigns, company and product presentations
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product
  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with building and maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals to enhance sales volume
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
  • Understands LED Lighting products and their competitive position within the market

 

Qualifications
 

  • English proficiency
  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
  • Strong drive to achieve business objectives
  • Highly analytical and ability to see market sales trends
  • Demonstrated ability to develop sales funnel, sales forecasts, and pipeline
  • Experience managing or selling through an independent sales channel – a plus
  • Strong track record of delivering on sales targets
  • 5+ years working experience in sales, business development, key account management, or similar
  • 3+ years in leadership position
  • Excellent presentation, written communication, interpersonal skills, backed up by deep industry relationships

Preferred Skills
 

  • Proven track record in the lighting industry is a plus
  • Knowledge and familiarity with comparable products
  • Additional languages a plus
