Job Description

Our new Business Development Head should have successful experience in the agrifood industry, whose passion and understanding of exponential growth will create profitable opportunities across the Asian market (India, Pakistan, Thailand, China, Vietnam and close areas) by delivering food recipes to the industry and final consumers.

  • Business development & techno commercial activity for various food ingredients
  • Generating business from existing account
  • Identifying new products & suppliers
  • Achieving business volumes consistently
  • Lead a number of projects being responsible for developing and managing business cases, driving the execution of the commercial side and working closely with R&D and Technical Service to deliver on the technical requirements as well as support the strategic account managers on their strategic account plans.
  • Have turned around Non performing accounts to start performing.
  • Handle a diverse portfolio including Strategic Growth and Global accounts, catering to a vast variety of end use products ranging from snacks & biscuits to alcoholic beverages and confectionery.

The person selected:

  • An experienced individual (between 35-45 yrs’ old) with young eyes and mindset
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills (Technical bachelor's degree – Food Science & Technology - and MBA preferred)
  • At least 10+ yrs' experience in B2B sales environment, Business Development, Sales, Key Account Management or similar.
  • It would a bonus if they have also worked in startup, FMCG and franchise sales environment.
  • Digital and creative mindset (Platforms / Communities / Ecosystems / Industry 4.0 / DAO / EoX)
  • Understand consumers’ needs while picturing whole agri-food value chain.
  • Multi-stakeholder player
  • Stellar communicator, presenter, negotiator, influencer & problem solver.
  • Proven success in meeting/exceeding monthly/quarterly and annual growth targets.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in reading financial statements
  • Superb time management skills and ability to multi task under high pressure and time sensitive environment.
  • Advanced sales process knowledge, i.e., territory management, transactions, legal documents, and growth models.
  • User experience level using CRM, ERP, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Would be good if they lived in either north or middle India
  • Approximately 50% to 75% travel.
