Wear Business Development Specialist

Job Description


·         Play an incremental role in the contribution to W&F sales growth

o   Minimum 5% year on year revenue growth directly attributable to the incumbent

·         Aid in the growth of the W&F project pipeline

o   Measured by size in revenue and margin

·         Make improvements to the W&F close success rate

o   Measured by the reduction in the gestation period to close including the number of samples

o   Individual should improve close rate by 10% in the Americas

·         Leverage a strategic approach and strengthen product mix to support margin growth of W&F

o   Minimum 50% margin in incremental core business sales

o   Big Bang target margins to be managed on a situational basis

·         Communicate and provide support as necessary to ensure Americas success is translated to other global regions

o   Measured by Europe and Asia pipeline growth as a direct result of Americas activities managed by this position

·         Pursue business opportunities for all relevant **** technologies in the course of W&F activities

o   Non-W&F pipeline contribution to sales growth

Physical/Environmental Demands

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to travel domestically with occasional international travel. Such travel could require overnight visits in various locations. The individual is also required to sit for long periods of time and look at a computer screen.


·         A current and minimum 5 years of experience in developing markets and applications in the field of W&F in a related materials field of thermoplastics and/or thermosets in compounds, resin, or molded parts

·         A current and strong network of W&F OEM and molder relationships that can be immediately applied to the development of ****’s W&F business

·         A strong knowledge of the technical aspects of W&F to include additives, testing, and the interpretation of part performance requirements into compound formulation

·         A working knowledge of competitive technologies to W&F thermoplastic compounds

·         A strong pattern of success in previous positions and a career trajectory of increasing scope and responsibility

·         Currently located in a geographical region that supports time and cost effective field travel

·         Willingness to travel 30-35%
