Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:


Management Committee

Participates in and is considered a vital role in the China Leadership team and expected

to be the lead executive on all matters involving financial decisions, performance

monitoring and financial planning. Provides financial and balanced business

perspective/wisdom to the successful development and implementation of operational

plans that deliver business results aligned with agreed upon goals. Ensures regular

and accurate reporting of important financial business plans, strategies and other

relevant operating information throughout M&M.


Financial Management

 Leads the preparation of financial cycles such as yearly plan, forecasts, long range

plan, and critical guiding measurements that will enable Metals to achieve its business

objectives; monitoring financial and business performance throughout the year. Works

closely with the Metals President to present and gain approval of plans and forecasts.

Commercial Relationships

Establishes, builds, and leverages value adding commercial relationships with those key internal and external customers, suppliers and partners. Coordinates with other

Financial Directors and CFOs representing vendors, customers, financial institutions, and/or other executives and resources to ensure that appropriate market intelligence is acquired and “factored-in” to China business decisions.


Manufacturing & Supply Chain

Oversees controllers at sites and country level to ensure a wide range of accounting

policies and practices are being adhered and deployed to effectively and efficiently

manage company assets and operations. Ensures that appropriate analysis is

performed and utilized to support the management of the business. Ensures complete

cooperation with all government regulators, auditors, and other agencies that

periodically assess China operations.


Legal Compliance

Shares responsibility with other management team members to ensure all company

activities/operations are performed in accordance with government, agency or professional regulations, and with those of Group.


People and Performance Management

Safeguards all company assets – physical and intellectual. Works closely with Legal

and other management team members to develop, engage, and monitor policies that

enable management team members to effectively manage employment relationships,

establish performance goals and objectives for China that are consistent with those for

Group, and ensure we are maximizing our potential.



A. Education or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.

• CPA or MBA is strongly recommended. Masters Degree in business, engineering is

desirable, or equivalent work experience.

• Previous experience (>5yr) in an international management team environment

• Previous Experience with SOX and US-GAAP

• Minimum of 5-10 years of progressively increased management experience – a

significant portion of which is preferable inclusive Metals and Minerals, Professional

Services, Project Management or manufacturing company experience.

• Previous FP&A, Treasury, M&A, Strategy other continuous improvement experience

is a plus

• Excellent English speaking skills
