Backoffice Administration and Control Officer

Reputable Investment Bank in Belgium is looking for a Backoffice Administration and Control Officer that ensures that the cashflows and security transactions are booked on the accounts. The cashflows and securities have to be controlled, reconsolidated and all deviatons are to be detected and solved in order to guarantee that the amount booked on the accounts is exactly the same amount as for the depositaries and banks. In case these amounts deviate, deviations will be analysed and an explanation will be requested from internal and external parties involved.  To finalize the process the deviations will need to be adapted in the systems, following the right actions. Following these processes it is essential to cooperate in an effective manner to search for fast solutions with all stakeholders involved.



-First work experience 1-2 years

-Bookkeeping experience, ideally in Banking / Financial environment

-Fluent / bilingual in both Dutch and French, basic knowledge of English




-Accurate and detail-oriented person who is comfortable with numbers and able to deliver work without errors

-Detects deviations during the reconciliation process and knows where to find the right information in order to understand the deviations. Uses insights, knowledge and relevant experience

-Knows working under pressure with an eye on priorities and common sense, without losing accuracy

-Takes responsibilities in a proactive and dynamic manner, looking for complete solutions to problems

-Shows high integrity and discretion handling large accounts and confidentiality

- Strong communication skills. Approaches stakeholders to share and inform

- Cooperates closely with all parties involved to detect possible deviations in accounts

-Strong organization and prioritization skills. Organisea accurate reportings to internal and external parties  following the guidelines
