National Sales Manager

Job Description



The candidate is required to:

  • Develop, Implement and Maintain Strategic Sales Growth objectives and strategies for FEBO
  • Manage the entire Botswana sales function on a national basis by co-ordinating the functioning of regional managers
  • Give direction and provide sound leadership to sales force
  • Carry out extensive field tours and customer visits
  • Customer relationship management & key account support
  • Coordinate and Compile annual sales budgets by line item, customer and sales region.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence on key competitors
  • Assess and develop market requirements
  • Close liaison with National Sales Manager in South Africa to ensure accurate market offering
  • Must have the ability to convert marketing strategies into sales action plans



  • 5 - 10 years sales experience in Pump / Mining Industries, alternatively in a Technical sales environment



  • Post Grade 12/N3 
  • Technical/Commercial qualification preferably a B.COM Marketing degree
  • SAPMA Pump qualification will be advantages



  • Must be fluent in English and Setswana
  • Computer literate i.e. Microsoft packages and J.D.E. would be an advantage
  • Valid driver’s license and must be prepared to travel extensively.
  • Prior experience dealing with Debswana and other Mining Houses in Botswana
  • Prior experience dealing with Government Departments namely Water Utilities
