Job Description

Reporting to Marketing Manager, the  new product manager is responsible for the performance of the cardio product portfolio.  The following objectives are crucial to achieve the expected performance:

1. Consolidated product portfolio development

2. Successful launch of new products

3. Adapting the marketing strategy for the current portfolio

4. Carrying out marketing actions in accordance with the approved terms and budgets

5. Maintaining relationships with opinion leaders

 

Key tasks and responsibilities

    1. Consolidated product portfolio development

• Market research and analysis focusing on choices for new products and revisions of marketing forecasts and business plans.

• Identifying opportunities and trends in the market

• Review of product portfolio development

• Permanent observation of competitors, technological developments and improvements, including new product trends; laws, legislation and introducing the right steps

 

         2. Successful launch of new products

• Offering a business plan for each new product that must be approved by the plant.

• Coordinates the process of launching new products in Romania (check all the steps of launching the product making sure that there are no delays in launching)

• Proposes launch strategies (marketing plan for launch) and sketches of launch materials for approval in the plant.

• Is responsible for preparing and presenting the promotion materials to the medical promotion team, both for the initial induction training and for the presentation of the promotion messages during the year

 

3. Adapting the marketing strategy for the current portfolio

• Preparation of marketing plans (1 year) and strategic plans (5 years), paying special attention to deadlines.

• Proposes any product modification (line extension, packaging changes, etc.) that can be beneficial to the image of the product for which it is responsible and ensures that it has the support of all departments involved in this initiative.

• Coordination of all promotional activities. Maintaining a complete report of the market, product lines and competitive activities

 

4. Carrying out marketing actions in accordance with the approved terms and budgets

• Ensuring the availability of promotional materials

• Selecting and ordering gadgets

• Selecting various forms of media to extend product awareness

• Completion of advertising and sponsorship campaigns

• Supervise the implementation of the strategy in the field

• Managing the marketing budget for the products for which it is responsible for ensuring the approval of all expenses according to the internal procedures and assuming the annual promotion budget is not exceeded

 

5. Maintaining relationships with opinion leaders

• Inviting opinion leaders to scientific conferences - discussions and providing the necessary documentation according to internal procedures

• Support offered to Medical Representatives in case of questions regarding products (with the help of the Medical department if applicable)

• Organizing round tables with the orientation of target groups

Our candidate must be used to handle marketing budgets of over 1Mil eur p.a. 

Cardiology background is very important!

 

Key Candidate Requirements :

Higher studies of medicine or pharmacy completed.

Mandatory minimum 3 -ideally 5 years’experience in a similar position to promote cardiology products.

Ability to work proactively and adapt to organizational requirements; skills in planning and organizing activities.

Flexibility, team spirit, communication skills.

Very good PC operating knowledge (Windows, Office, Power Point).

Very good knowledge of English.

Category B driving license and availability for travel.
