Sales Account Manager (Plastics)

Job Description

The purpose of the role:

To build strong relations with supplier base and to develop prosperous accounts from potential customers within Hungary in the field of rubber, plastics and coating additives and materials business.

a) Establish and maintain close supplier and customer relationships;
b) Build a strong base of specialty chemicals manufacturers to represent their product in the market, seek opportunities of joint product development work;
c) Provide technical expertise to support new business development;
d) Create and maintain a pipeline of unqualified, qualified and targeted prospects within the area of responsibility;
e) Create or assist in the development of presentations to focus on creative coating and ink solutions;
f) Collaborate with Safic Alcan experts to provide timely and effective fulfillment of unmet customer and market needs, leading to new sales of existing products and new products;
g) Maximize time in the field (minimum 3 days per week) to expedite the closure of target accounts, interface with related staff;
h) Communicate both internally and externally to key stakeholders;
i) Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge within areas of responsibility.

a) Relevant degree (chemical);
b) Minimum of 5+ years technical experience in the performance products related industry;
c) Solid understanding of specialty distribution business (chemistry and formulation, knowledge of plastic additives, rubbers, polymer blends, polymer composites);
d) Former B2B sales experience is not a must have, but preferred;
e) Good communication skills;
f) Self-starter and results driven with passion for meeting and exceeding expectations;
g) Ability to understand and translate opportunities between suppliers and customers;
h) Computer literate;
i) Must possess a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.;
j) Motivation to develop the business and able to manage other people in the subsidiary.
