Corporate Communication Chapter Lead

Job Description

Media Relations:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with media contacts and drive positive media coverage on the company through proactive media relations programs
  • Drive media activities – disease awareness sessions and other education initiatives
  • Track and monitor the efficiency of media relations work with media analysts

Brand/Therapeutic Areas Communications:

  • Closely work with internal stakeholders for communication planning, and oversee the execution plan to meet the planned objectives
  • Manage agencies who work as partners with the company's team for any product/disease awareness communication plans
  • Streamline brand communications and keep internal stakeholders posted on key development and events

Issues and Crisis Management:

  • Influence the business team during planning processes to avoid possible issues and crisis
  • Lead in building internal/external communications content whenever issues emerge, so as to avoid the issues developing into a crisis
  • Undertake a leading role in issues, conflict and crisis management, and establish a corresponding network in order to manage internal and external communications flow to minimize negative impact and seek positive opportunities

Corporate Reputation:

  • Make sure brand communication content is aligned with guidelines, corporate values, and society expectations
  • Drive positioning around the company business priorities, including corporate social responsibility and sustainability programs as needed
  • Design and implement Disease Awareness Campaigns in alignment with business objectives and corporate social responsibility in collaboration with the different stakeholders (MOH, medical societies, national committee, patient support groups, media outlets, etc.

Employee/Leadership Communications 

  • Ensure key message consistency and development toward the vision established in the affiliate
  • Engage employees through open and transparent communications platforms set up in the affiliate
  • Acts as a communication consultant to the leadership team, as needed
