Financial Modelling Specialist

Job Description


You will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, and will bring to bear your strong quantitative and financial training on a variety of development and infrastructure finance projects. You will be expected to perform the following responsibilities:

Developing bankable project finance or corporate finance models

Conducting evaluations of financial models

Performing in-depth financial analysis, including Cost-Benefit analysis

Reviewing financial data, spreadsheets, budgets and reports, and translating quantitative information into easily communicable findings or implications

Conducting in-depth risk analysis

Financial structuring - Working with Public- and Private- sector clients to achieve successful bid submissions and financial close for their infrastructure projects.

Developing a financing strategy and securing finance



Good interpersonal skills, including ability to be a team player and comfort working in a collaborative environment

Entrepreneurial bent of mind so as to be nimble and adapt to changing needs, in a complex and sometimes uncertain environment

Desire to contribute towards making the world a better place, and belief that a small group of committed individuals can have a significant impact

Strong work ethic and high standards for achievement

Intent to develop one’s potential to be a domain expert

Strong, results-oriented research and analytical skills

Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly break down and explain a complex topic verbally and in writing, and an ability to listen and respond to input and diverse perspectives




Degree in Finance, Engineering or Accounting

Coursework in corporate finance, financial accounting, management accounting, cost-benefit analysis.

Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience in a financial/numerical/analytical environment,

A demonstrable track record in project or infrastructure finance, financial structuring, public sector financing, investment banking, business planning, project financial modelling, and accounting.
