Key Duties & Responsibilities

• To identify new business opportunities that will result in work flowing through the group. 
• Research to establish viability of project-related initiatives within specified countries.
• Interactions at a strategic level with Government, businesses and donor organisations in various African territories.
• Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
• Closes and concludes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations that will result in economic benefit for us within acceptable practices and procedures as set out by the company. 
• Assists in putting together tenders and gathering information relevant for the submission of tenders. 
• Protects the organisation's value by keeping information confidential.
• Ensure our company credentials are listed in the country/ies for which the Business Development Manager is responsible. This includes (but is not limited to) the Department of Education, in-country printers, donor organisations and businesses that typically have an influence over printing and related product offerings. 
• Write and submit monthly reports timeously.
• Build an internal network between departments and entities to ensure information regarding capacity, project viability and co-ordination of project activities are clearly communicated, understood and time-frames adhered to across the relevant  group entities to meet tender and proposal submission deadlines

Educational Requirements

• Relevant degree or diploma

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience
• Management of relationships with the government sector - an advantage
