About the Role:

An IT company based in Cape Town is looking for a Support Administrator with a minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience.  The incumbent will be responsible to provide ICT related support and assistance.


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric
  • 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Unendorsed driver’s license & Registered Car
  • A+ & N+ Qualifications
  • MSCE or similar
  • Proficiency in network (LAN & WAN) technologies
  • Microsoft Proficiency – Desktop, Server and Cloud based computing
  • Offsite backup technology experience
  • Virtual computing environments experience
  • VOIP & Telephony experience
  • Digital Security – Firewalls, UTM (Untangle or Sophos)
  • Linux experience
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting proficiency
  • Domain and website creation and hosting
  • Internet Service Provider services understanding
  • Fluent in English/Afrikaans – Verbal and written
  • Willing to work longer hours if necessary

  • Daily Maintenance and Alarm check-ups
  • System resource monitoring
  • 3rd Party Liaison – Client supplier contact
  • Perform delegated in-house projects
  • Audit new client systems
  • Update client profile information
  • Create and update handover procedures
