Our client is a leader in the Logistics space based in Cape Town

The role requires someone who will be responsible for growth by means of networking, branding and marketing and to strategically position the Sales & Marketing department to identify opportunities and ensure growth of company market share for new and existing clients.  Some of the typical responsibilities will look like:

  • Determine and maintain the brand culture
  • Design, align, implement and maintain Group branding and marketing plan in line with strategic goals
  • Determine and get approval for annual branding and marketing budget
  • Generate and coordinate leads for all companies in the Group
  • Facilitate and co-ordinate sales processes and approaches to common clients for all business units
  • Assist relevant internal sales representatives to determine the strategic sales approach and ensure alignment within the Group Brand
  • Plan and budget staff according to seasonal requirements
  • Plan and manage staff leave in accordance with operational and statutory requirements
  • Manage recruitment and retention of the best candidates

Should you wish to apply for the role, we would require you to have the following:

  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Understanding of competition, market and industry trends                                  
  • Applicable understanding of effective and efficient Logistics Solutions             
  • Applicable knowledge of fruit industry and shipping line activities                                     
  • Development and design of measures, process and procedure                                           
  • Clarity and understanding of organisational structure, systems, policies and procedures
