Job Description

To coordinate and lead the local purchasing team in guaranteeing an efficient supply in terms of cost, quality

and delivery periods, being in charge of planning, organizing and coordinating the activities in the purchasing

department, understanding the project and business in the country and developing specific purchasing

strategies in order to obtain the global goals within the purchasing department and the business as a whole,

searching for maximum profit and efficiency overall, with a commitment to continuous improvement

participate with the Corporate Purchasing Manager in defining and distributing the global goals in the

purchasing department and the business, and together with the facility site manager define and distribute

the site´s purchasing targets, and disseminating it to their collaborators.

-Plan, manage and oversee the purchasing process-sub-contracting- supply, in accordance with the

business´ needs and keeping in mind the group´s defined criteria relative to cost, quality and delivery

times. Select, grant and approve the supplier/product in collaboration with the corporate Commodity

Managers, in order to establish an adequate panel of suppliers.

- Watch over the fulfillment of the procedures and tools defined at a global level in the purchasing

department, tracking the status on all purchasing activities carried out in the facility and developed both by

the corporate and local purchasing teams, and confirming the information at the closing of the month.

-Supervise the optimization of the facilities purchasing operative and the available resources by using

a management style that obtains a reduction in costs, aiming to maintain the project's profitability and the client's satisfaction.

-Supervise the warehouse.

-Supervise the fulfillment of the operatives established at a global level in the management of supplier quality.

-Write-up management reports on the management of the facility´s purchases.

- Promote continuous improvement in your area searching for maximum efficacy, efficiency and profitability

-Promote and develop the Health and Safety in your department.

Is a must:

Technical engineering degree.

Minimum of 5 years experience in similar job. Knowledge of the purchasing environment.

Management, negotiation and team work skills.

Fluid English allowing for good communication

Analysis skills, change and improvement oriented, non-conformist (looking for room to improve) with a global vision focused on the local.
