F&A Specialist

Job Description

For their Romanian branch in Cluj, we are searching and selecting a dedicated, hands-on and engaged talented professional as:

F&A Specialist

Position is based in Cluj, reporting to F&A Manager abroad.

1)     Product/purpose of the position

a)     Complete and correct books in ERP

b)     Audits with unqualified statements

c)     Low levels of DSO (days of sales outstanding) and bad debt reporting

d)     Correct, complete and in time reports to local authorities

e)     Correct, complete and in time reports to mother company

2)     Main activities/duties:

a)     Responsible for accounting and book-keeping

b)     Preparation of monthly / quarterly / annual reports to parent company and to authorities

c)     Managing risk & compliance and internal controls

d)     Active information sharing to finance & general manager, and other departments

e)     Communication with external bodies (advisors, authorities, suppliers, customers, etc.)

f)      Other daily tasks to ensure proper operation of the company

g)     Reporting to direct manager and daily communication

3)     Tasks in details:

Finance & Accounting Specialist is mainly responsible for correct book keeping and fulfilling reporting requirement towards local authorities, parent company and to finance manager. In addition to finance roles the Finance & Accounting specialist might need to be involved in various administrative tasks to ensure daily operation of the company.

I)               Book-keeping & financial reporting

a)     Supervise/Review accounting activity of local branch (external suppliers, bank statements, Travel&living reports)

b)     Checking and collection of Travel&living reports submitted

c)     Monthly closing: manual journal entries, accruals & prepayments, payroll (based on calculation of external specialist); taxes and other journals

d)     Preparation of monthly / quarterly reporting package for parent company

e)     Communication with payroll and tax advisor

f)      Keeping proper and accurate accounting records

g)     Daily communication with Operations department with regards to invoices, margin checking, etc.

II)              Statutory- and authority reporting (financial statement, tax return, Intrastat)

a)     Reporting to local authorities (financial statements, VAT, taxes, Intrastat & others) and to parent company

III)            Risk management and control environment

a)     Managing A/R and A/P including reminders and cash collections

b)     Managing cash flow

c)     Managing reporting and tax compliance risks

d)     Developing internal control environment

IV)           Other finance related

a)     Communicating with other departments, HQ and subsidiaries

b)     Communicating with banks ,customers, suppliers, auditors and local authorities

c)     Communicate with payroll advisor in relation to HR specific tasks

d)     ISO managements

e)     Preparing budget, forecast and report files for management

f)      Informing, Alarming, suggesting actions to management based on financial figures

V)             Other daily operation

a)     Manage company car fleet

b)     Manage company phone fleet

c)     Manage supplier contracts

d)     Any other activity to ensure proper daily operation of the company

4)     Requirements/Skills:

I)               Hard skills/requirements

a)     Bachelor/Master degree in Accounting & Finance

b)     Minimum 2 years experience in finance & accounting position

c)     Excellent knowledge of local accounting standards

d)     Knowledge of full balance sheet and profit&loss

e)     Good knowledge of European and local VAT standards

f)      Excellent knowledge of ERP or accounting systems

g)     Excellent operator‘s knowledge of PC – MS Windows, MS Office, Internet etc.

h)     Romanian native, English spoken and written, other languages (i.e. Hungarian) as advantage
