Our client is a world leading player in EPCI projects for structures for the offshore wind energy sector. They are expanding their production capacity and are therefore now seeking
2 planning engineers (m/f)
on contracting basis.
The planning engineer is responsible for the set-up of project scheduling tools, procedures and work processes. (s)He will supervise schedule development , identify technical solutions for planned works and uncover and solve technical challenges that already exist in the planning phase. The planning engineer will be responsible for project reporting and ensuring quality and consistency across reports. The planning engineer will demonstrate skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing workable solutions to planning and scheduling problems.
-identification of technical solutions for the planned works
-uncovering and solving of technical threats that already exist in the planning phase
-preparation of method statements and all technical documentation required for the planned works
-development of lifting plans for the installation phase
-liaise with subcontractors to secure an optimal planning
-prepare documents for regulatory authorities
-prepare documents for certification bodies
-report to project management on regular basis
-plan installation procedures, considering weather challenges
-an engineering degree
-at least 3 years of experience in planning in large EPC contracts, preferably in the offshore sector
-fit in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis
-skilled in oral and written communication (English language) and presentations of schedule materials
- demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision
-willing to work on different locations for a considerable time
-fluent in English
