My client, a fully integrated infrastructure solutions business which specialises in delivering improved operating performance of commercial and industrial facilities focusing upon three key delivery areas - Engineering Consultancy, Operations & Maintenance and Energy Trading.

They are currently in a position to recruit a EC&I Engineer based at their site in Teesside.
This job description details responsibilities for the role of EC&I Engineer reporting to the E&M Manager.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF ROLE
Support the E&M Manager in ensuring the safe and efficient management of all electrical, control & instrumentation engineering and maintenance activities, plant availability & statutory/legal compliance associated with the plant & its associated facilities & assets.
Provide EC&I & technical support to TGPP, its Departments & associated assets maximising asset & achieving maximum availability through safe & efficient actions, balancing running plant & outages.
Lead & manage the TGPP EC&I team members & other assigned personnel ensuring they are competent in completing their job role responsibilities & also the requirements of the company O & M standard.
Be active in plant safety schemes: near hits/incidents investigations/audits, providing support & implementing actions as required.
Assist in providing functional design specifications on any new plant developments or projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Assist in the development & enhancement of the ISO Quality Management System. Supporting the E&M Manager in ensuring all e & m systems are ISO compliant & maintained to the required specifications.
Organise, prepare, negotiate, manage and evaluate, all assigned EC&I contracts, ensuring they operate within agreed budgetary requirements, taking action to reduce costs and overall risk levels.
Provide outage support & management for planned & unplanned shutdowns, ensuring all EC&I works are completed as required, safely & efficiently.
Work with other TGPP E&M personnel to ensure EC&I processes/procedures, remain business and best practice relevant while balancing commercial and safety challenges.
Support the E&M Manager in controlling & implementing EC&I maintenance development activities.
As required, be part of the E&M call out team, completing call out duties as part of a rota.
As required, deputise for the TGPP E&M Manager.
Remain up to date with EC&I Engineering best practice, industry trends/data; statutory/legal requirements including ATEX, DSEAR, design codes, site specifications, document control & maintenance best practises.
Contribute to departmental meetings, team objectives, policies and procedures.
Be a central contact and information point for other departments on designated matters.
Portray the position of EC& I Engineer in a positive and professional manner.
