The role is required to set strategic direction for all internal audit activities across the business including risk assessment, monitoring of risk, regulatory compliance and overall governance.

Develop and drive the strategy and direction of the Internal Audit function and how it fits with overall Global IA Strategy. Set and monitor short and long term goals, effectively communicating progress to key stakeholders. Perform risk assessments, prioritise initiatives and determine resource needs.
Oversee all IA projects which include the review of operational processes and systems, access, security, contractual compliance, vendor governance assessment, regulatory and legal compliance and other risks. Manage work requirements and budget to meet team initiatives. Review audit plans, recommendations and provide guidance.
Provide oversight and guidance for assessing the appropriateness of controls over the company risks (financial, operational and reputational).
Engage with and educate process owners and leadership teams on the importance of controls, an effective control environment, and the role of Internal Audit.
Work closely with stakeholders ensuring effective communication and sharing of information. Manage the IA team, appropriately delegating various responsibilities to the team as appropriate.
Drive change by actively participating in cross-functional initiatives. Develop ideas and strategies for executing on the Finance/IA and/or company vision.
Thorough understanding of business risks, ability to grasp the changing organisational priorities and translate into an assurance plan.
1. Job Purpose:
The Head of Assurance will be a member of the site Leadership team and be responsible for oversight and guidance for Internal Audit (IA) within the business. The Internal Audit team's mission is to call attention to risks and drive actions to address those risks to protect the interests of the Company. The team partners with the business to identify areas of risk, make valuable recommendations on controls, and influence changes and decisions.
