For our new Global Operations Centre in Manchester we are currently looking for a Procurement Business Partner who will define and implement the purchasing strategy for FPP ( Finished Product Processing) toll manufacturing services within EAME.


About This Job:

The role will report directly to the Team Lead EAME Co-Formulants and 3rd party Tolling Procurement and sits within the Global Sourcing Department.


The successful candidate will define and implement the purchasing strategy for third party crop protection manufacturing services within EAME. He/She will benchmark toll operation costs within the region to support supply and sourcing strategy decisions and will also need to understand the regional/global market place for toll manufacturing services. He/She will provide commercial support to the “Toll Production Managers” (TPM), including Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and contract ownership, and support to the toll manufacturing budget process  as well as the strategic siting decision making.




Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role. Successful candidate would have either a strong procurement background with capability of understanding technical (manufacturing)processes OR a strong technical background with passion for planning and finance
  • Excellent understanding of supply chain operations (planning experience a plus)
  • Good Knowledge of Procurement best practice and tools (SAP)
  • Technical competence and understanding
  • Understanding of toll manufacturing processes
  • Successful leadership of cross-functional team initiatives
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with FPP, Planning, Finance and Legal
  • Ability to use SAP planning, procurement and finance functionality
  • Strong negotiation, communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent contract management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to operate in a multi-national, multicultural matrix environment
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Preferred Knowledge & Experience

  • Industry experience in chemicals or similar (such as Oleo chemicals, Petrochemicals, Packaging)
  • A second European language (French, German) would be desirable



  • CIPS qualification (Level 6 or equivalent)
  • Fluent in English
