Operations Director - Site Operations Director - Operational leader


We have been retained by our Client, a prestigious, market leading provider of Corrugated Packaging Solutions to the European FMCG market and they are looking to hire an Operations Director with a track record of success to join their business in the North West UK.    

Safety is a key focus for the site; they have a fantastic safety record and want to keep improving their safety performance. They key to this has been a successful cultural change program over the last 4 years which has taken the site a long way on the journey for World class sustainable operations.

The Regional Operations Director has been instrumental in developing the team to improve the way the site is managed and operated, KPI's and visual tools are widely used on site in a very effective way. They are very focused on MTBF and use this measurement method to drive improvements with the equipment on site.

This position requires a Confident, driven individual who fits into the culture of the site and is capable of continuing the change agenda.  The reporting team is considered to be talented and capable so we want a leader who can support, develop, problem solve and push the team to achieve even better results. We want a Standard Bearer who is a visible leader of people.


The Operations Director would be responsible for:

  • Safety
  • Engineering and Maintenance
  • Quality
  • CI
  • Operations


The total direct and indirect reports would be circa 140 across 3 shifts. The site is a high volume operation which serves the FMCG market sector on short lead times.

The Operations Director would form part of the Senior Team on site alongside HR, Logistics, Commercial and Finance.
