Our client, Elkem Silicones FRANCE is a division of the Elkem group/Norway with more than 3100 employees dedicated to providing silicone solutions to a wide array of industries.

Based in Lyon/France, Elkem Silicones FRANCE offers a full range of silicone technologies for diverse specialty markets including aerospace, automotive, construction, consumer goods, energy, healthcare, paper, personal care and textiles.

We are looking for a full time Account Manager to strengthen our European sales team and grow sales of Performance Rubber products.

Mission

The Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing and expand his/her customers & products portofolio in line with the company objectives, Marketing strategy and Values.

Geography is France & Benelux for the Performance Rubber markets. 

Tasks and duties

In line with « Customer Value Management » principles and Sales Best Practices, the Accounts Manager will 

  • Manage and develop a dedicated accounts portfolio in line with his/her sales objectives
  • Monitor sales performance against budget
  • Adapt Elkem Silicones Product & Services offer to specific customer needs in line with the strategy established by the Global Market Management
  • Work closely with the Global Market Management to share market intelligence
  • Look for new business opportunities and engage with potential customers
  • Promote Elkem Silicones global range of products to both existing and potential customers
  • Negotiate and secure sales action plans according to Elkem Silicones standards
  • Constantly learn about products and applications in order to maintain knowledge and customer satisfaction
  • Partner with the Technical Sales Department/Technical Services Laboratories whenever needed
  • Monitor competition, share information and experience with the Sales and Marketing teams
  • Enhance Value Creation through Best Selling Practices
  • Comply with Elkem Silicones "way of doing business", particularly provide Sales activity reports according to Elkem Silicones Sales Processes and tools (STARWAY, Pulse, BW… ), make value propositions and quote based on price-list

 

Language requirements : excellent command (spoken and written) of French and English

Location and traveling : candidate may be based in Lyon (headquarters) or home office ; ready for intensive traveling

Education & Experience

Engineering and/or business degree with at least 10 years’ experience in chemicals sales, BtoB in industry, possibly in silicones ; other industries accepted
