General Organization consists of 9 divisions, the chemical division is part of corps business and highly strategical one in terms of revenues.

Gernaeral of this role:

Our client is looking for a dynamic person who is customer orientated and takes pride on delivering a high level of customer service.

This role will involve regular travel in all EU and Asia.  The successful candidate will need to have tenacity to maintain this on a long term basis.  Therefore, it is important that they have the capability to use their own initiative and work independently.

With a “can do” positive attitude who uses initiative to quickly establish long-term relationships with key customer and strategic suppliers.

The successful candidate will be expected to understand the technical nature of the raw materials so that they can introduce raw materials into new market segment.

This role will also involve to have skills from sourcing to final end user, with sales ability to negotiate pricing at different step of the process. (Customers and suppliers).  The overall objective of the role is to grow both the turnover and profitability at the Key accounts.

Qualities Include: Building strong supplier relationship, networking, professionalism, details/Results-oriented, project/Product management, multi-tasking, ability to work in transversal function.

Advantage:

Integrated to the «business development" team (24 employees around Europe including 2 based in Paris with the back-office), and reporting directly to the Chemical Department GM Europe, you will support sales development in France and globally (mainly Europe), for a range of products mostly imported from Asia and within the chemical sector (water treatment, industrial ceramics, Nutrition, Pharma and nutraceuticals...).

  • Your ability to identify sales development keys opportunities/leads and your talents of 'Hunter' and negotiator, will drive you to build and manage a strong partnership among customers. 
  • Your thoroughness in records management, will drive you to keep focus on all stages of sales development (from sales deal till delivery).
  • As the key owner for entire negotiation, you will lead all aspects from supplier relationship to customer sales development.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Provide commercial management and sales development for clients in France and Europe. (70-80%)

  • Manage key accounts/strategic clients on daily basis and sales activities
  • Prospect and sell - Develop accurate sales tracking of prospects and opportunities.
  • Organize, manage and optimize visits to existing customers and prospects.
  • Monitor the turnover and margins according to objectives
  • Manage price offers and customer quotes
  • Monitor market trends.
  • Implement and monitor annual sales budgets
  • Define action plans and business objectives in line with the company's strategy.
  • Participate in promotion, marketing and communication actions (Trade fairs, associations ...)
  • Manage customer problems or complaints in collaboration with administrative / logistical teams
  • Monitor outstandings payment, credit risk and negotiate payment terms (Recovery)
  • Prevent and manage conflicts of any kind with clients.

2. Propose a development plan for the product lines and ensure their implementation. (5-10%)

  • Transcribe and develop a development product strategy in France / Europe markets.
  • Formalize product offerings in collaboration with Asian suppliers.
  • Build the development plan and translate it into targeted commercial actions.

3. Define a purchasing and sourcing policy (10-20%)

  • Understand the Group's purchasing policy and be responsible for its declension concerning its range
  • Control the act of purchase or supply: Know how to analyse a buying situation then make a decision by optimizing the relation delay / price / quality,
  • Know how to trade in very volatile commodity markets (Petrochemicals)
  • Manage and resolve disputes with suppliers - Improve flows between the zone and suppliers

Qualification et Experiences

  • Business school training (with good business sense or been trained for technical products)
  • 3 to 5 years of minimum one B2B sales experience in an international environment. Preferred experience involved in international business related to Asia understanding well the product life cycle. (ideally industrial chemicals or plastic).
  • Operational English – Good written and spoken English
  • Ability to communicate and report
  • Excellent presentation and customer approach - Sense of communicatio
  • Sense of Negotiation - Business Intelligence - Customer Orientations / Products / Suppliers
  • Great ability to "sell" and develop new clients (Prospections)
